WOW!!!Rep. Eric Swalwell and Sen Richard Blumenthal said today...

that Trump could be subpoenaed in this. They also said they may have to subpoena family members, staff, etc as well. Then they also said they might have to look into Trump financial records.

Could this be possible? This would be politically orgasmic

republicans set the precedent through the courts against Bill Clinton, that executive privilege does not apply to events that occurred before someone is president.

Darn right him and his family can be subpoenaed and required to testify, just like Bill Clinton did for accusations made before he was President

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that no congressional subpoenas will issue as long as Republicans chair all the committees. They might send a friendly invitation to Kushner to pop by for an informal interview not under oath, or send him a list of questions that don't require a sworn response.

But the chances of ANY of those scumbags telling the truth is nil. Being under oath means nothing to Chump, he's lied under oath before. Three Republican senators could do what 48 Democratic senators can't do.

I've dealt w/these repukes in close quarters on the local and state level. The only thing they understand besides spinning lies and money greediness, are courts, attorney fees and unfavorable verdicts.

Truth telling, public trust and the common good, not so much. They don't care about that.

70. trump would have no problem lying under oath

but I'd love to see those around him quizzed. I'd love for them to subpoena his tax returns.

76. Dems have no power to do anything unfortunately...

...Unless some Republicans "cross the aisle", which we all know is not going to happen......then they can say stuff like this all they want (and I'm glad they are saying it because it needs to be out there as much as possible from as many people as possible), but without Republicans nothing is going to happen.

79. My money is

on the Attorney General of the State of New York, where the financial
and banking wires were hot and the decisions were made.

GOP Congress will try to cover up all it can, hinder, stifle, obfuscate, excuse and deep-six.

But some of these things have state or local aspects to them. NYAG doesn't need permission
from the Trump White House or the Trump Attorney General to investigate anything.

80. Congress has issued subpoenas to Bush, Cheney, Rice ...

... and others, who just ignored them and were never held in contempt, so Donald could just cite precedent.
